KOSOVA WINE

Our core values lie in the production of wines and spirits including those of our unique grape  based Raki and Grape Juice. We are focused on quality over quantity since we are determined  to preserve our long tradition of wine and raki production. Our family is well known for its  vineyards and winemaking in general since a soil-based barrel was found deeply buried in our  vineyards where the object is now built.

EVENTS

HardhFest, literally the Harvest festival is organised every autumn in Rahovec/Orahovac near the house of Wine, under the patronage of the Presidency of the Republic. The first day is devoted to the opening of the festival around noon by the speech of the Presidency of the Republic, the mayor of the commune, the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and representatives of the guests’delegations. At 13 p. m., the first grape cluster is symbolically cut by the Presidency of the Republic, thereby formalizing the opening of the harvest. Festivities, shows and exhibitions of local artists are organised near the wine house and in the city centre of Rahovec/Orahovac throughout the weekend. These include the election of Miss Grape, the competition of the foot, the distillation of the raki, wine and wine tasting, the visit of the vineyard… The presence of a traditional Sofra (group of men singing folk songs to the sound of traditional instruments, according to very precise rites) adds an ethnographic touch to the party. Concerts and other folk songs and dances animate on weekends.
